JPG: “Au Revoir, Hermes!”

London
May 27, 2010

It's musical chairs at luxury house, Hermes as Jean Paul Gaultier shuffles out the door making room for Lacoste's Christophe Lemaire to step in as new creative director. JPG's final collection will be spring/summer '11 shown in Paris this October.

"Hermès is deeply grateful to Jean Paul Gaultier for his outstanding creative contribution during these seven years" say the house. What we're left wondering however, is if he jumped or was pushed... It'll be curious to see whether or not Lemaire leaves his Lacoste influences at the door and pray that we're not gonna suddenly see little crocodile motifs slapped across Birkins.
