LFW: Thanks For The Teen Memories, Rimmel

London
Sep 29, 2011

Rimmel make-up occupies a special place in our no-heart: the first thing TRR ever shoplifted was a frosted pink Pat Butcher-esque Rimmel lipstick. That illicit thrill combined with the dalliance into gown-up, made-up adulthood solidified our love for the iconic rites-of-passage British cosmetic brand - not to mention a bit of five-fingered-discount. But we digress. Fast forward twenty years and here we are, mid-LFW reclining in our publisher, Glam Media's hotel suite at The Trafalgar enjoying more free Rimmel (albeit legitimately) courtesy of their London Fashion Week Survival Kits.

Although, to our dismay, there was no nostalgic frosted pink lippy within, there was instead, some rather delicious fuchsia pink and red from Kate Moss' new lipstick line along with a genius tri-colour Union Jack eyeshadow palette, lavender nail polish, foundation, primer plus their new WOW mascara which we can honestly testify is now outsting MAC's Plush Lash as our make-up bag go-to for spidery lashes. Admittedly the straight-outta-Essex Union Jack nail decals will remain sealed until we feel the need to attend an Austin Powers fancy-dress party. Or to get patriotic at the Olympics. So basically, never, then.

Dans la suite, the TRR team enjoyed getting 'The London Look' (yes, we know) via Rimmel manicures and make-overs whilst fully raping the much welcome pitt-stop champagne - even Mr TRR got involved getting his lashes mascara'd. Thanks for the teen-memories, Rimmel.
