Oscar de la Renta
PPQ
Picture a 1920’s cruise liner slowly chugging it’s way to Morocco and you’ll get a picture of the refined, travelling woman which is a big story for S/S ‘10. Think Audrey Tatou’s recent Chanel No. 5 advert. Waistbands are anchored high up, trousers are voluminous with a tapered ankle like at PPQ and United Bamboo. Breton stripes and an elegant blazer will underpin the look as will vintage cut swimsuit styles. Stick to a palette of neutrals, navy’s and creams and you’re halfway there. Final fishing touch comes in the shape of a big-ass wide-brimmed hat. Wish you were here! (Main picture: Hussein Chalayan S/S ‘10)
