Ladies, dig out the white pan-stick and Ellnet ‘cos it’s time to re-channel your inner Goth. Scultpted and skin tight, tight, tight PVC, leather and rubber make a (perhaps strangely prolific for summer) huge impact on the runways. Combined with a bit of frou-frou lace and net makes for some very sinister looking eveningwear indeed. Multi, contrasting-fabric layering like at Byblos, Celine and Antonio Beradi will equally soften and dramatize the effect or you could go for the out-and-out vacuum-formed-woman look like at Jeremy Scott and again, at Byblos.

Not a look for pussies, belligerent accessories are needed; we’re talking stomping stacked heels, statement jewellery like at Giles and killer gloves like Lanvins’ singular long-armed beauty.
