Yes we all saw toddler-blogger, Tavi’s rather anti-social giant hair-bow at the front row of the Dior couture show (courtesy of an angry Grazia editor’s Tweeting) but that’s no reason to shy away from our ribbony friends.

In fact, bows are huge news for Spring/Summer, particularly itty-bitty ones round waists like at Andrew GN and Moschino Cheap and Chic or tied nonchalantly round necks at Alice Temperley and Cynthia Rowley.

The trick is to try and subvert them really, and not end up looking like some kitsch pre-teen Harajuku girl. Keep them dark and wear with minimal accessories, letting the bow do the talking. Avoid combining with any other girly appendages at all costs.
